Zoo Trip at the Central Florida Zoo
ElementZero | September 22, 2008We went to the Central Florida Zoo on Saturday up in Sanford. While the park has grown quite a bit since the last time we were there about a year ago, it still is a pretty small zoo. It still is a lot of fun to see things like the Kangaroo’s, Monkeys, Elephants and Leopards. They also have a huge collection of snakes, perhaps the biggest one we’ve seen from all the zoo’s we’ve been to. Unfortunately we decided to go at about noon, so everything was trying to hide from the hot Florida sun. Still, since the park is smaller, the animal exhibits tend to have the animals closer anyways (not a 1/4 mile away like @ the Georgia Zoo).
Our year long zoo pass is expiring at the end of this month, so this will probably be our last zoo trip for a while. We definitely got our money’s worth though as we went to the following zoo’s in the last year.
Central Florida Zoo
Lowry Park Zoo (Tampa)
Jacksonville Zoo
Brevard Zoo
Florida Aquarium (you get 75% off anyways)
Anyways, I would definitely get the pass again – worth every penny. We took pictures (of course) so without further delay, here they are (click to enlarge)…
